Deal and commission terms
A practical template—have Saudi legal counsel approve it before launch.
1. Platform role
Muaddat is a sourcing marketplace and documented introduction service. The equipment owner remains responsible for ownership, condition, compliance, operators, insurance and delivery. The contractor remains responsible for site access, correct requirements and payment under the accepted quote.
2. Exact-owner workflow
An RFQ for a listing is delivered only to that listing’s registered owner. Before release, the owner sees an anonymized contractor requirement and the contractor sees a verified but anonymized equipment owner. Admin may request CR, identity, authorization, ownership, insurance, SASO or maintenance documents.
3. Admin-mediated quotations and contact release
Owner quotations are submitted to platform administration first. The contractor receives a quote only after admin approval. Party identities and direct contact details remain protected until quote acceptance and admin verification of the platform fee. Attempts to exchange phone numbers, emails, WhatsApp details or external links before release may be blocked and audited.
4. Platform fee
Contractors search and request quotes free of charge. The equipment owner owes 6% of the accepted gross deal value, plus 15% VAT on the commission. Renewals, extensions and replacement equipment resulting from the introduction should be recorded in the platform.
5. Acceptance and records
Accepting an admin-approved quote creates a deal record. Contact details remain locked until admin verifies the platform fee. Messages, quotes, moderation, acceptance timestamps and status changes may be retained as the transaction audit trail.
6. Payments and disputes
This version records bank-transfer references; it does not claim to hold escrow. Add a licensed Saudi payment provider before taking customer funds. Parties must report condition issues and disputes through the deal thread.
7. Privacy and Saudi compliance
Deploy with a PDPL privacy notice, consent and retention policy; obtain CR/e-commerce registrations; apply ZATCA VAT/e-invoicing obligations; and use legal review for rental agreements and platform liability.
